On August 5, 2000 Nesbits' hosted a Bowling/Buffet to benefit the Plum Food Pantry. This fund raising benefit has grown from an Annual to a Bi-annual event.

August's benefit was a great success having raised over $1,000 for the purpose of funding food assistance to those who are in a situation of need.

Seeking to positively influence the children of Plum Boro, Nesbits offers an after-school Incentive Program for students in Grades 1 -6. This program not only encourages but rewards academic achievement. The schools involved in this program with Nesbits' are: St. John the Baptist, Regency, Center and Pivik Elementary Schools.
